Abide & Anchor Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect the information reasonably needed to operate Abide & Anchor and provide your account, saved content and related features.

This may include:

• Account information such as your email address, user ID and sign-in details needed to authenticate you
• Personal content you choose to save such as journal entries, notes, highlights, saved verses, prayer entries, favourites and other items you store within Abide & Anchor
• Settings and preferences such as your configuration choices and app or website preferences
• Technical and service information such as app or site version, device or browser-related information, log data and basic error information used for reliability, troubleshooting and security
• Subscription or access-related information such as account status, entitlement state, subscription status or trial status where needed to manage access to Companion features

2. Your personal content

Your journal entries and personal saved content are intended to be private to you.

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not sell your journal content or private saved content.

We do not use your personal content for advertising.

We use your saved content only to provide the service to you, including storing it, displaying it back to you, syncing it across your account and supporting export or download features where available.

3. Shared content

If you use a sharing feature, we may generate a shareable link or shared view for the content you choose to share.

Shared links include only the content you intentionally choose to share, such as a Daily Pause or other share-enabled content.

Shared links do not include your private notes, journal entries, prayers, highlights or other personal saved content unless you explicitly choose to share that content through a feature designed for that purpose.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Payments and subscriptions may be processed through third-party payment providers or platform services, such as Stripe for web checkout or Apple In-App Purchase where enabled.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

We may receive limited subscription-related information needed to confirm your access status, such as whether a subscription is active, cancelled, expired or in trial.

5. Service providers

We may use trusted service providers to help us operate Abide & Anchor, such as providers for hosting, databases, authentication, payments, analytics used for service improvement, storage, email delivery or technical support.

These providers may process personal information on our behalf only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide their services to us.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers to sell advertising based on your personal content.

6. Data export, retention and deletion

Where export or download tools are provided, you may export or download your personal content.

You may also request account deletion.

When an account is deleted, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify personal information that is no longer needed. However, some information may be retained where reasonably required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, security, billing records or legitimate operational purposes.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational measures to protect personal information and saved content.

However, no online service can guarantee absolute security and you use the service at your own risk.

8. Children

Abide & Anchor is intended for general audiences. If we become aware that personal information has been provided in a way that requires special handling under applicable law, we may take steps to delete or restrict that information.

9. International access

Abide & Anchor may be accessed from different countries. Depending on the providers we use, your information may be stored or processed in countries other than your own. By using Abide & Anchor, you understand that this may occur.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide notice within Abide & Anchor or by email where appropriate.

Your continued use of Abide & Anchor after an updated Privacy Policy takes effect means you acknowledge the updated policy.
